Area Football: Hilltoppers down Aitkin 28-27 in OT

AITKIN — The Aitkin Gobblers came close but couldn’t quite finish off Duluth Marshall, losing 28-27 in overtime in Friday’s Great Polar Alliance game.

With the score tied 20-20 at the end of regulation, the Hilltoppers won the coin toss and deferred. Two plays later, Nathan Ehnstrom scored on an eight yard pass from Jake Lynn and kicked the extra point.
