Area football: Rangers own second half to down Jaguars

CROSBY — The Crosby-Ironton Rangers didn’t defeat themselves.

Last week, they did. The week before that they almost did. On Friday, they did not and took a step toward regaining the top seed in the Section 6-2A playoffs with a 38-16 victory over the previously unbeaten Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars.

One interception in the first half and three penalties for 20 yards were about the only things the Rangers did wrong.
