JUNIOR HOCKEY: Twin City trims Breezy Point 6-2

BREEZY POINT — Austin Cline and Spencer Bajko scored for Breezy Point as the North Stars were defeated by the Twin City Steel 6-2 Sunday night in a North American3 Hockey League game.

Cline scored on a power play 12:41 into the first period, tying the score 1-1. Bryson Jasper picked up the assist. Bajko was assisted by Nick Shear.

The Steel led 4-1 after two periods and cruised to the win even though they were hit with 45 penalty minutes.

Twin City finished with 36 shots to the Stars’ 28. Ian Shidlofsky made 13 stops and Grant Holler made 17 for Breezy Point. Jared Schletty made 26 saves for the Steel.

Trey Hughes registered two goals and one assist for the Steel. Kegan Storjohann finished with a goal and two assists.

The Stars (0-6-0) host the North Iowa Bulls at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.
