Area Volleyball: Tigers knock off Huskies


PINE RIVER — Megan Felthous tallied 17 kills to go with seven digs, three blocks and two ace serves to lead the Pine River-Backus Tigers to a 3-1 non-conference win over the Pillager Huskies Friday.

Liz Downie and Brittany Kelley each added nine kills, while Journee Howard posted 11 kills, 33 set assists and four digs for PR-B.

Pillager’s Katie Gillson registered 13 kills and six digs and Kelly Mast added 26 set assists, eight digs, four kills and three ace serves.
