Area Football: Pioneers notch fifth straight win

PIERZ — Josh Lanners rushed for two scores and 92 total yards and Ben Boser and Tyler Milner connected on a 61-yard scoring play in the Pierz Pioneers’ 35-6 win Friday over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in a Central Minnesota Conference game.

It was the fifth straight win for the Pioneers who are averaging 31.8 points a game while giving up just 12 points defensively.

The Jaguars got a score to start the game and Pierz responded with the next 35.

Brady Dorn also caught a 2-yard pass from Boser and Jon Fuhrman scored on a 5-yard run.
