Area Volleyball: W-DC third in Alex


ALEXANDRIA — Caitlin Volkmann racked up 25 kills, 24 digs, 47 set assists, three ace serves and 17 blocks as Wadena-Deer Creek went 3-1 to finish third at the Alexandria Tournament Saturday.

Emily Miron notched 50 kills, 22 digs and 39 set assists. Hope Theisen added 69 digs and Melissa Moenkedick provided 24 blocks for Class 2A’s ninth-ranked Wolverines.
