Junior Hockey: North Stars crushed

BREEZY POINT— Defensive woes continued for the Breezy Point North Stars Saturday as they failed to pick up their first win of the season in a 14-3 loss to North Iowa at Breezy Point Ice Arena.

The Bulls scored 1:28 after puck drop and tacked on three more goals before North Star’s wing Spencer Bajko scored on an assist from Kyle Eberwein.

The Bulls scored nine times with only one coming off a power play in the second period.

After a goal from North Iowa two minutes into the final period, Breezy Point’s Austin Williams found the net seven minutes followed by Kyle Pacheo on the final goal of the game.

Breezy Point goalie Grant Holler was tagged with the loss. He stopped six out of 10 shots. Ian Shidlofsky stopped 29 of 39 for the Stars.

Breezy Point is now 0-7-1 on the year and will travel Thursday to Alexandria to take on the Blizzard.
