AREA FOOTBALL: Ehrmantraut, Card lead Verndale to 46-6 win

VERNDALE — Dallas Ehrmantraut scored five touchdowns and quarterback Dillon Card figured in five scores to lead the No. 4-seeded Verndale Pirates to a 46-6 win over the Isle Huskies in Tuesday night’s Section 4 Nine-Man quarterfinal game.

Ehrmantraut and Card accounted for all the Pirates points as Ehrmantraut scored on runs of six and 68 yards and caught touchdown passes of 37, 24 and 10 yards from Card.

Card opened the game with a one-yard scoring run and 28-yard touchdown return in the first quarter.

Ehrmantraut finished with a game-high 102 yards rushing on nine carries and Card completed eight of nine passes for 159 yards without an interception.

It was the fourth straight win for the Pirates who take on No. 1 seed Underwood at 1 p.m. Saturday.
