COLLEGE Softball: Pierz's Boser to play for Bemidji State
Pierz’s Megan Boser is one of six players who have committed to play for the Bemidji State University softball team in 2014.
Boser, a 5-7 infielder-outfielder, hit third in the order and played shortstop for Pierz. She started playing at the varsity level in eighth grade. Last season, she hit eight home runs to break the Pioneers’ single-season and career records. She also broke single-season and career records in doubles and set school marks in hits and RBIs.
Boser earned varsity letters in volleyball and basketball in addition to softball. She plans to major in nursing with a Spanish minor. She was an honor roll and Dean’s List student in high school.
“Megan was another player we were happy to get from within the state of Minnesota,” BSU head coach Rick Supinski said in a news release. “She does a great job hitting the ball and has already set a number of hitting records at her high school, including the single-season and career home run marks.”
