Girls Hockey: EGF Mack smack Flying Warriors

Alexa Mack tallied a first period hat trick and the unbeaten East Grand Forks Green Wave rolled to an 11-1 non-conference victory over the winless Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors Friday at Brainerd Area Civic Center.

Karli Ring scored the lone Flying Warriors’ goal with an assist from Maren Brown at the 8:00 mark of the second period.

Flying Warrior goalie Kayli Scammahorn blocked 24 of 33 shots through two periods before being replaced in the third by Natalie Berens, who stopped seven of nine. The Green Wave outshot the Flying Warriors 42-17.

Mack finished with four goals and two assists for the Green Wave, who improve to 4-0-1.
