HOPKINS — Kyann Nyhus and Jasmine McGillivray each notched nine points for the Staples-Motley Cardinals as they were defeated by Class 1A’s top-ranked Maranatha Christian Academy 65-53 in a non-conference game Saturday.

The Cardinals lost 52-53 Friday to Class 3A’s top-ranked Richfield.
