BOWLING: Brainerd just misses top eight in match play

The Brainerd Warriors were one of 24 teams competing in the state tournament Saturday at Memory Lanes In Minneapolis.

Brainerd had the fourth-highest pinfall of all teams and missed making the final eight as a wild card by one pin.

In pool play, Brainerd defeated Cambridge 412-317, New Ulm 360-337, Alexandria 412-317, and Rochester John Marshall 425-302. Brainerd lost to Winona 469-373, Faribault 419-363 and St. Paul Simley 429-387.
