AREA GIRLS HOCKEY: Lightning fall to Otters

BREEZY POINT — Alex Palm’s first-period goal gave the Northern Lakes Lightning an early lead, but they suffered a 4-2 loss to Fergus Falls on Thursday.

Mariah Reed scored the other Lightning goal late in the second period. Steph Korstad and Morgan Demars picked up assists.

The Otters put 24 shots on Lightning goalie Kat Jensen. Northern Lakes finished with 31 shots on goal.
