BREEZY POINT — Kegan Couture scored the game-winner on a third-period power-play goal, and assisted on three other goals, to lead the Northern Lakes Lightning to a 4-3 non-conference win over Monticello Tuesday.


Ben Moe scored short-handed in the first and added an even-strength score in the third while Alex Galligan netted a power-play goal in the second. Couture assisted on all three.

Mitch Stangel turned aside 22 shots on net for the Lightning, who were outshot 25-22.

LITTLE FALLS — Ben Newman and Taylor Drager scored second-period goals to erase an Alexandria lead and Luke Majerle added an empty netter at the end of regulation to give the unbeaten Little Falls Flyers a 3-1 victory over the Alexandria Cardinals in Tuesday’s non-conference game.

Majerle finished with a goal and assist while Matthew Stumpf contributed two assists.

Goalie Michael Stumpf, who has not allowed more than one goal per game in five games, made 31 saves.
