Area Boys Hockey: W-DC doubles up Lightning


BREEZY POINT — Dylan Phillips hit a power-play goal and found an empty net in the final minute to propel the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines past the Northern Lakes Lightning 4-2 in a Mid-State Conference game Tuesday.

Adding goals for the Wolverines were Christian Berg and Cory McManigle. Mike Behl made two assists.

Gaven Bickford and Kegan Couture scored first period goals for the Lightning, who had won three in a row.
