Girls Hockey: Wennerstrand deflects all but one in loss

WILLMAR — Brainerd/Little Falls’ Sara Wennerstrand kicked away 13 of the 14 shots she faced during Tuesday’s 1-0 Central Lakes Conference loss to the Willmar Cardinals.

The Flying Warriors peppered Willmar’s Madison Samberg with 29 shots on net, but Samberg stonewalled B/LF’s offense

It’s the fourth straight loss for the Flying Warriors, who fall to 1-5 in the conference and 1-11-1 overall.
