Area Boys Hockey: W-DC knocks down North Branch

WADENA — Mitchell Swanson tallied four goals and two assists to lead the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines past the North Branch Vikings 10-3 in the opening round of Wadena-Deer Creek tournament Thursday.

Christian Berg and Jake Krause each added two goals and three assists for the Wolverines who went 3-4 on power plays.

Also scoring goals for W-DC were Mike Behl and Otto Asp. Bridger Pettit added three assists.

LITTLE FALLS — Little Falls edged Hutchinson 5-3 during the first day of the Little Falls tournament Thursday.

The Flyers now own an 8-1 record and will play Willmar 7 p.m. Friday.
