AITKIN — Melissa Paulson scored 10 points and Lisa Anderson and Mikayla Michaletz each added nine as the Aitkin Gobblers defeated the Milaca Wolves 53-25 in Thursday’s first round of the Aitkin Quarterbacks Club holiday tournament.

Aitkin, which has won four straight, plays McGregor for the championship Friday.

McGregor defeated Mesabi East 78-45 in Thursday’s other semifinal.
