Area Boys Hockey: Newman, Flyers skate to 6-1 win

LITTLE FALLS — Ben Newman turned in a second period hat trick and Mark Anez assisted on four goals to lead the Little Falls Flyers past the Northern Lakes Lightning 6-1 in Thursday’s non-conference game.

Spencer Fenske added a pair of goals for the 10-2 Flyers, who also got a goal from Thomas Miller.

Kyler Narveson scored the only goal for Northern Lakes on a power play at the start of the second period.

The Flyers held a 38-15 shots-on-goal advantage with Michael Stumpf making 14 saves for the Flyers and Mitch Stangel turning aside 32 for the Lightning.
