Jenna Degen’s 16 points led the Brainerd Warriors during Saturday’s 78-45 non-conference loss to the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets at Brainerd High School.

“They got us up with their trapping,” said Warriors head coach Brian McAllister. “We didn’t handle the pressure well and we shot poorly. We need to make our shots and try to keep up our momentum and keep our energy.”

Brynn Lijander and Amanda Hanson each scored 15 points for the Bluejackets, who improved to 6-3.

Brainerd fell to 2-6 despite Mikayla Boeder’s eight rebounds and six points.

The Warriors shot 44 percent from the field, but C-I shot 60 percent.
