At least one killed, more than 100 injured in New Jersey train crash

BIATHLON: Christiansen runner-up at Duluth

Pelle Christiansen of Nisswa was second in the Minnesota Cup Race at Duluth in Sunday’s race at Snowflake Nordic Center.

The event was a Mass start race with four shooting stages.

In the Men’s and Junior Men’s 12.5km event, Pelle Christiansen, in the Master’s Men Class, was second, shooting 3,0,4,2, in 53:01. Evan Ingebrigtson, Baxter, finished fourth, shooting 3,2,2,3, in 56:52. Josh Duda, NNW, finished sixth, shooting 3,4,3,4, in 59:06.

In the Junior Men’s class, Zach Nelson, NNW, was third, shooting 4,4,3,4, in 49:29.

In the Youth Men’s and Junior Women’s 10km race, Cam Christiansen, Nisswa, was third in the Youth class, shooting 2,2,0,3, in 40:39. He was followed by the only biathlete in the Junior Women’s class, Jenna Ruzich, Baxter, who was fourth overall, shooting 2,3,1,0, in 43:11.
