GIRLS HOCKEY: Stormin' Sabres edge Flying Warriors

LITTLE FALLS — Maren Brown tallied the only goal for the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors in a 3-1 loss to the Sartell/Sauk Rapids Stormin’ Sabres Tuesday night in a Central Lakes Conference game at Exchange Arena.

Brown’s power-play goal at 8:33 in the third came with an assist from Kristina Anderson and pulled the Flying Warriors within 2-1 before the Stormin’ Sabres slammed the door with an empty netter in the final minute.

Sara Wennerstrand made 24 saves in net for the Flying Warriors, who were outshot 27-21

The Storm beat the Flying Warriors 8-1 Nov. 27.
