Jamestown College head golf coach Dustin Jensen on Tuesday announced the signing of three Staples-Motley High School golfers who will begin competing for the Jimmies in the fall of 2013.

Brothers Mitch and Trent Hagenson will graduate this spring from Staples-Motley where both are two-time state tournament participants and all-conference selections.

“When we talk about our team, we constantly talk about being a family,” Jensen said in a news release. “When the opportunity arose to bring in Mitch and Trent, we jumped at it. These young men have been a part of a great golf program in Staples which has proven to be a hotbed for Jimmie golfers in recent years. We look forward to welcoming Mitch and Trent to the Jimmie family next fall.”

Another Staples-Motley product, Michael Strain, has transferred to Jamestown from Concordia University in St. Paul. He was a six-year letterwinner and three-time state tournament participant.

“Michael is an exciting addition to the program,” Jensen says. “He is an excellent player with a proven winning record.

“Michael has found his home at Jamestown College. I truly believe that this will be a perfect fit for him. Michael joins a program at Jamestown with a lot of positive momentum. I’m confident he will only help to further that moving forward.”
