Girls Basketball: Rogers rumbles past Warriors

Heather Fletcher and Maria West both scored seven points in the Brainerd Warriors 66-34 loss to Rogers in Saturday’s non-conference game at Brainerd High School.

Brainerd shot just 33 percent from the field compared to 43 percent from Rogers, which shot the ball 15 more times than the Warriors.

“Rogers is a good team,” said Brainerd head coach Brian McAllister. “They have six losses and all of them are to ranked teams. We need to look at changing our offense, though. We need to find a way to get higher percentage shots and get more open set looks instead of trying to create shots. The way things are now we either have to shoot at a higher percentage or take more shots and we’re not doing either right now.”

Taylor Johnshoy scored six points for the 2-12 Warriors.
