Men's College Basketball: Raiders fall to ranked Vermilion

ELY — Kevin Kuefler scored a team-high 15 points as the Central Lakes College Raiders fell to NJCAA’s third ranked and the Northern Division’s top-ranked Vermilion 90-66 Saturday.

Brandon Davis added 12 points for the Raiders, who are now 2-2 in division play.

“[Vermilion] took care of the ball and they all shot well,” said Raiders head coach Jim Russell. “They were selective on shooting and had a great defense on us. Every shot we took was contested. This game was a good measuring stick for us and showed us how good they are and we understand why they’re No. 3 in the nation.”
