Area Wrestling: Road Crew win conference

DETROIT LAKES — Drey Loge earned his 125 career win as he finished 2-0 and captured the 145-pound championship to help the Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Road Crew claim the Mid-State Conference title Friday.

Anthony Philipson, Nate Adkins, Nick Gravdahl and Justin Mackenthun all won championships for all-conference honors.

Staples-Motley, which finished third, saw Blake Miller and Jordan Heldman win conference titles.

Crosby-Ironton placed fourth and Wadena-Deer Creek fifth.

Big Lake Quad

BIG LAKE — Josh Beack, Joe Reis and Connor Scherping both went 3-0 with two pins and the Little Falls Flyers improved their season dual meet record to 16-3 defeating Zimmerman 59-15, Buffalo 78-6 and Big Lake 38-29 at the Big Lake Quad meet Thursday.

Also going 3-0 for the Flyers was Jordan Petrone.
