Bowling: Warrior girls go 1-2 in opener

The Brainerd Warrior girls bowling team opened the season by defeating Alexandria and losing to Fergus Falls and St. Cloud SW at Garden Center Lanes in Alexandria.  

In the first match, Brainerd won 3 games to 2 over Alexandria. Amanda O’Hotto led the Warriors with a 75-percent completion rate, followed by Malyk Edwards with 67 percent and Breanna Fields with 60 percent.

Brainerd then lost to Fergus Falls 3-2 with Kelsy Warta leading the Warriors with a 75-percent completion rate. O’Hotto was at 67 percent and Raychel Raddatz and Fields were 63 percent apiece.

In the third match, Brainerd lost to St. Cloud SW 5-0. Fields led the Warriors with an 84-percent completion rate. Abbi Olson and Edwards followed at 63 percent apiece.

Brainerd’s next meet will be Jan. 27 at Wadena Lanes.
