AREA GIRLS BASKETBALL: Pillager routs Hill City for first win


PILLAGER — Paige Leifermann tallied 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Pillager to its first win of the season as the Huskies routed Hill City 58-24 in Thursday’s non-conference game.

The victory ended Pillager’s 15-game losing streak this season.

Carly Bell netted 16 points and collected eight steals as the Huskies snapped a 39-game regular-season losing skid that dated back to Feb. 24, 2011.
