Area Boys Hockey: Kittson gets revenge over W-DC

HALLOCK — Friday night it was Kittson Central’s turn.

The Bearcats lost their last game 5-4 to Wadena-Deer Creek in overtime Jan. 26, but turned things around to win by the same 5-4 score on their home ice Friday in a non-conference game.

Bridger Pettit figured in the scoring for all of the Wolverine points with a pair of first period goals and two assists in the third.

Also netting goals for W-DC were Christian Berg and Mitchell Swanson, who entered the contest tied for the state lead in goals scored and was fourth in points scored.

Wesley Joanson took the loss in net while making 35 saves.
