AREA BOYS BASKETBALL: Ehnstrom scores 1,000th point in Aitkin win

HINCKLEY — Nathan Ehnstrom scored the 1,000th point of his career, and the Aitkin Gobblers defeated Hinckley-Finlayson 61-48 in a Great River Conference game Monday night.

Ehnstrom finished with 10 points to eclipse 1,000.

Aitkin was led by Bryan Haugly’s 16 points. Sam Hanson tallied 14 rebounds, and Kyle Thomson dished out six assists the Gobblers, who won for the fifth time in sixth games, and for the third straight time. They also earned a split of their season series against the Jaguars.
