GIRLS BASKETBALL: West records double-double as Warriors lose

BEMIDJI — Maria West tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Brainerd as the Warriors fell to Bemidji 60-35 in Tuesday’s Section 8-4A game.

Taylor Johnshoy grabbed 11 boards and scored four points while Katelyn Johnson secured nine points and added seven rebounds for the Warriors.

“We just could not make shots or take care of the ball, we had 21 turnovers and that hurt us,” Brainerd coach Brian McAllister said.
