Adapted Floor Hockey: 9-0 shut out for Warriors

Five Brainerd Warriors scored to secure a third straight victory and shut out Wayzata/Minnetonka Lakers 9-0 Wednesday night at Riverside Elementary School.

“This is the last team that we needed to play in the Northern Conference so we’re at 4-1 at this point, which is great,” said Warriors head coach Todd Person. “Just like our last win, a lot of kids were involved.”

Brock Saatzer and Devin Annable each scored a hat trick and three assists, and Cody Vleck added one goal and four assists.

Zachary Denny scored one goal and one assist and Randy Volkmuth knocked in a goal for Brainerd.

Warriors goalie Harlee Annable saved all 30 shots fired by the Lakers.

“Harlee did a great job when (the Lakers) started putting those shots right on the goal in the third period. Everything got shut out,” said Person. “(The Lakers) are a fast team and our kids definitely matched up with that really well. We’re fast and aggressive as well.”
