Area Girls Basketball: Pequot punches out win over C-I

PEQUOT LAKES — Kayla Miller tallied 18 points, and six assists to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to a 75-63 Mid-State Conference victory over Crosby-Ironton Tuesday.

Jessica Kreitz tallied 15 points and Vanessa Lane finished with 14 as the Patriots won for the third time in their last four games.

Lauren Peterson and Meredith Silgen each scored 13 points for the Rangers.

Kelly Pearson added 10 points for Class 2A’s seventh ranked Cardinals.

It’s the third win in four games for the W-DC, which saw Hope Theisen collect 15 points and seven steals.

BRAHAM — Class 2A’s fourth-ranked Braham Bombers rolled past Aitkin 91-37 in a Great River Conference game Tuesday.

Melissa Paulson finished with 10 points to lead the Gobblers, who were swept by the 22-0 Bombers this season.

The state’s all-time leading scorer, Rebekah Dahlman, finished with 35 points.
