Boys Basketball: Warriors remain perfect in conference

SAUK RAPIDS — Jack Sauer tallied 18 points and nine steals as the Brainerd Warriors improved to 21-1 following a 77-53 win over Central Lakes Conference rival Sauk Rapids Tuesday.

Jacob Blong contributed 14 points for the Warriors as the conference champions extended their win streak to seven.

Tony Sauer collected 10 points and six steals for Brainerd.

Brainerd beat the Storm 75-34 on Feb. 11.

“Jack and Tony’s ball pressure helped us force 33 turnovers and convert them into points,” Warriors head coach Scott Stanfield said. “All of our players contributed and we’re happy with this road win.”
