Area Golf News: Fred-Mark raises $15,000

Pat McNeilus, Levi McNeilus, Derek Clarey and Jimmy Loupe shot a 54-under-par for the 27-hole, four-person next shamble during the 22nd annual Fred-Mark Charity Golf Tournament May 26 at Grand View Lodge’s The Pines.

Second place went to Fred Boos, Jack Taylor, Cory Super and Alyssa Super. They were one shot better than third-place Randy Millard, Denise Millard, Lee Johnson and Dean Grillo. Aaron Martin, Eric Anderson, Eric Jones and Carolyn Jones finished fourth.

On May 27, Jim McArthur and Bill Lancaster needed a scorecard playoff to top Michelle Blomberg and Jody Wilkens to win the 2-person net best ball event with a 17-under par.

Mike Knodt and Brandon Gothmann placed third.

The Fred-Mark event, which is played during the Memorial Day weekend, raised $15,000 for the Bridges of Hope charity.
