Running: Baird repeats, Kolling leads women


Brainerd’s Owen Baird repeated as men’s half marathon champion and Toni Kolling captured the women’s title Saturday in the 12th annual Sour Grapes Race at Northland Arboretum.

Baird, 40, won with a time of 1:28:36. Kolling, from Spring Valley, was clocked at 1:33:35.

First-place male in the half of a half (10.55K) run/walk was 16-year-old Taylor Schloemer of Brainerd with a time of 45:36. Thirty-five-year-old Jessica Johnson from Hendricks won the women’s division at 49:37.
