Girls Hockey: Flying Warriors fall in overtime

The Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors lost their sixth straight game, a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker, to the Princeton/Big Lake/Becker Tigers in non-conference action Friday night at Brainerd Area Civic Center.

Maddie Ellingson put Brainerd ahead 1-0 with a goal at 7:24 of the third period with assists from Karli Ring and Brooke Mimmack.

Jordan Blomquist tied it for the Tigers two minutes later and Bridget Walter put in the game-winner in overtime.

Sara Wennerstrand made 27 saves in net for the Warriors, who were outshot 29-25 by Princeton.
