Joe Mench of Wadena won the main event on the third card of the season Saturday at the Wadena National Guard Armory.

Mench (175 pounds) defeated Matt Mason of Detroit Lakes with a third-round referee stops contest.


John Johnson (139) of Wadena lost a decision to Eloy Zavala of Willmar.

Wadena’s Tristen Powers (95) lost a decision to Jesse Walters of Duluth.

In other bouts, Tyler Henry of Duluth (135) beat Ben Jeffers of St. Cloud, Zach Borchart of Duluth (150) beat Tony Lalim of St. Cloud and Josh Johnson of St. Cloud beat Eric Herzdary of Willmar (140).

Next Wadena card is scheduled March 1.
