VFW Baseball: Brainerd sophomores split

BECKER - C.J. Wohl went 3-for-4 as the Brainerd sophomore team edged Becker 6-5 in the second game of a doubleheader Monday.

Dylan Harbo went 2-4, including a double, and drove in two Brainerd runs. Dallon Saiko also doubled for Brainerd.

Hanson Devine started and pitched 5.1 innings. He allowed seven hits and four runs (3 earned) with six walks and two strikeouts.

Wohl pitched final 1.2 innings and got the win. He allowed two hits, one earned run and one walk.

Becker won Game One 2-0. Jack Geraets was 2-3 for Brainerd.

Jake Meyer took the loss despite striking out 12 in a complete game. He walked one, gave up six hits and two earned runs.

Brainerd (3-1) hosts Monticello at Adamson Field at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
