Baseball: Peterson pitches Brainerd to wins
Two four-run innings gave the Brainerd Warriors a pair of Central Lakes Conference victories over the Sartell Sabres Thursday at Adamson Field in Brainerd.
The Warriors defeated Sartell 8-4 with a four-run 10th inning in the first game that concluded an April 25 game that was suspended because of weather.
Brainerd then collected four of its six hits in the fifth inning of the second game plating four runs enroute to a 5-2 victory.

Singles by Will Peabody and Sam Miller and a bunt single by Cole Kubesh loaded the bases. Mac Brink's two-run single proceeded a Sartell error that scored two more Warrior runs.
McCale Peterson pitched the final two innings for the win and for the two days together threw eight innings. He struck out five, while allowing two walks, eight hits and four runs. Bryce Flanagan struck out three over two innings April 25.
Peterson finished 2-5 with three RBIs and two home runs. Braydon Borg was 2-5 with a homer and Brink 2-5 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Brainerd 5, Sartell 2
In a four-run fifth inning, Colin Kleffman led off with a single and Peterson walked followed by a two-run Flanagan double. Borg singled, Max Boran drove in Flanagan with the fourth hit of the inning and a Peabody sacrifice fly scored Borg with the final run.
Peterson again picked up the win tossing six innings. He struck out two and walked two and gave up seven hits and two runs. Kleffman pitched the final inning retiring all three batters he faced.
