Men's College Hockey: Bowling Green sweeps Michigan Tech
HOUGHTON, Mich.—Mitch McLain of Baxter scored his second goal of the season and Bowling Green swept two games from Michigan Tech last weekend in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action.
The Falcons picked up an official 2-2 tie against the Huskies Saturday but earned an extra point for scoring in the sixth round of a sudden-death shootout. McLain lifted the Falcons to a 2-1 lead Tech midway through the game with a shot in the slot.
Friday, Bowling Green's John Schilling scored two goals in a 2-1 victory.
Bowling Green (4-3-2 overall, 3-1-2-1 WCHA) returns to the Slater Family Ice Arena as the Falcons host Lake Superior State Friday and Saturday in WCHA play.
