STOCK CAR RACING: New winners emerge on second night of WWE Series

BARROWS — Gay Ohnstad Jr. and Dave Read were two of the new winners of the belts for first-place finishers on the second night of the first WWE Series at North Central Speedway.

Ohnstad Jr. took the checkered flag in the Pure Stock feature, while Read was on the winners’ stand after the Street Stock feature.

Tim Johnson won the Midwest Modified event, and Brandon Mehrwerth won in the Hornet class. Matt Weisman took home the belt in the A-Modified feature event.

Shane Sabraski became the first two-time winner as he took home a belt each night. On Sunday night, it was the Super Stock feature for Sabraski.
