College Baseball: Sannes helps Concordia-St. Paul go 6-2 on spring trip
TUCSON, Ariz.—Brainerd High School graduate Drew Sannes hit .552 for Concordia-St. Paul as the Golden Bears capped off their trip to Arizona with a 10-0 win in seven innings against Dickinson State Sunday.
A junior transfer from the University of North Dakota, Sannes collected 16 hits in 29 at bats in Arizona and the Golden Bears 6-2 in the Tucson Invitational Games.
Sannes, an infielder, started all eight games on the trip. In 10 total games this season, he's hitting .500 (16-for-32) with two triples and seven RBIs.
Concordia, 7-3 overall, returns home this week to open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. The Golden Bears are scheduled to play a 4-game series at Barnes Field in St. Paul against Minnesota Crookston Saturday and Sunday.
