Ring, Lyscio open indoor track season strong

Former Brainerd High School graduates Tom Lyscio and Kelsi Ring opened up the indoor track and field season at Saturday’s CSS Opener Dec. 10 in Duluth.

Ring set the Univeristy of Minnesta, Duluth 60-meter hurdle record with a winning-time of 9.03. The old record, set by Ring last season (Jan. 29) at the Maverick Open was 9.06. Ring also holds the school’s 55-meter hurdle record.

Lyscio, a member of the College of St. Scholastica men’s team, won the men’s shot put with a heave of 44-8.25 and the weight throw with a toss of 49-7.25.
