TRACK AND FIELD: Lyscio wins two events in UMAC meet

MORRIS — Brainerd High School graduate Tom Lyscio won two events as the St. Scholastica men’s track and field team won the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men’s outdoor championship Saturday for the first time since 2009.

Lyscio won the hammer throw and shot put. In the hammer he set a meet record with a distance of 181-10. In the shot put, he won with a toss of 46-8.75.

The Saints will compete in last-chance meets to get individuals qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. The first will be the Eagle Open, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, on Friday, May 11.
