Women's college basketball: Raider women get win in division home opener

The first half of the season was rough for the Central Lakes College Raiders women but so far the Northern Division has been a success.

On Wednesday night in their divisional home opener, the Raiders had five players finish in a double figures in an 88-44 win over Fond Du Lac. CLC upped their division record to 2-1 while the Thunder slipped to 0-3.

Ashley Arenson led CLC with 19 points and Taalyer Egeness collected 13 points. The Raides shot 46 percent from the field and were 10-13 from the free throw line.

On the defensive side, CLC forced 22 Thunder turnovers and were led by Sierra Benning with six steals. Egeness was the leading rebounder, with 12 for the game.
