Minnesota State University Moorhead junior Jordan Riewer of Staples and senior teammate Tarell Clark were named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference second team in men’s basketball.

Riewer has been a steady performer despite missing seven games because of injury. Riewer has averaged 10.7 points and 3.5 assists from his point guard position. He is one of the nation’s top free throw shooters (94.7 percent.)

In 15 conference games, Riewer averaged 11.9 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds. The Staples-High School graduate has scored in double figures in 15 of the 20 games he has played with a season-high 21 in an overtime road win at St. Cloud State on Jan. 25.

The MSUM men resume action Saturday, March 1, in the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament quarterfinals against Upper Iowa. Game time is 2:30 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
