Football: Warriors' junior varsity defeats Tech 42-22
The Brainerd Warriors beat the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 42-22 in junior varsity action Monday, Sept. 10, at Don Adamson Field.
The Warrior defense held Tech to 304 yards of offense and was led by Calvin Foss, who returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown on the game's opening drive.
Brainerd's offense racked up 403 yards—144 on the ground, 259 through the air. The attack was paced by Dalton Hamre with 199 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Erik Stoxen passed for 118 yards and a TD. Isaiah Windorski threw for 104 yards. Nathaniel Staehling passed for 37 yards and a TD and ran for a 42-yard score.
The rushing attack was led by Brandt Patton with 59 yards and lineman Caden Schoeppner.
