Junior Hockey: North Stars triumph in overtime

Kaymen Kitchen scored in overtime to lead the Breezy Point North Stars past the Milwaukee Power 3-2 in North American3 Hockey League action Friday, Oct. 5, at Breezy Point Arena.

The winning goal, at 4:14 of overtime, was assisted by Gunner Bourassa and Larson Tubbs. Milwaukee led 2-1 after two periods before the North Stars tied it 2-2 in the third period on a goal by Tubbs. Winning netminder Max Eilefson stopped 37 shots while losing goaltender Aaron Dickstein had 34 saves.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Power scored three power-play goals to defeat the host North Stars 3-0. Dickstein stopped all 31 shots he faced while losing goaltender Lucas Ehrlich turned aside 48 shots.

Breezy Point will host Rochester at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12. The teams play again Saturday, Oct. 13, at Rochester.
