Mark Hummell racked up more than 200 passing yards and two touchdowns, but the Brainerd Lumberjacks fell to the top-seeded Minnesota Sting 34-22 in the Midwest Premier League’s regular season final Saturday at Shew Field in Brainerd.

The loss dropped the Lumberjacks to 7-3 on the year and landed them the No. 3 seed in next week’s four-team playoff.

The Sting finished 9-1 and will face the 4-6 Granite City Renegades in the first round of the playoffs.
